Pollinator Corridor Project

Raising awareness about the importance of pollinators!

Connecting People, Plants and Pollinators

We are working to raise awareness about the importance of pollinators, both wild and managed species, to foster excitement about the opportunities we have to support them, and to connect community through this work. Did you know there are about 20,000 species of bees worldwide? About 800 in Canada and 450 in British Columbia?! Learn more through out workshops – contact info (at) hivesforhumanity (dot) com for details and booking.

Through community workshops, we have installed bee hotels and houses, along with pollinator friendly plants, into backyards, patios, rooftops, community gardens and parks. In doing so we’ve created patches of pollinator friendly forage and habitat, and also connected communities along the way.

This mini-documentary shares the story of the bees and the people that make this project buzz!

We are very grateful for the support we have received from the City of Vancouver’s Neighbourhood Matching Fund and the Vancouver Foundation and the City of Vancouver’s Greenest City Fund, as well as from our partners at the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel, in developing this project, and making these opportunities possible.
